Abstract
Development programs need to broaden their assistance works so as to reach the poorer population in the
shape of concrete alternatives in very localized action fields. This is the case of the free agri-fairs by family
agriculturists. Such fairs come to be the main commercial link between the producer and the urban center
society which allows him to fare income to his family. Thus, this paper analyses the dynamic familyagriculturists’
fair in Turmalina town., Alto Jequitinhonha, MG. When analysing the problematic of
producers in the fair and their relationship with other social agents, one seeks to understanding the reach
of the fair in economical terms, that is, the workforce used and the forms of income-building to this local
market. A fundamental part of the research consists of identifying the spaces of social and cultural
reproduction of the families that participate in the fair, was well as the performance and participation of
members of the family unit in its productive organization.
