Note
In the context of dynamism and expansion of the oilseed complex, this article focuses on estimates of its contribution to the economy, both in terms of added value and transfers to the rest of the economy. In short, whether the entire soybean production chain is considered, or only the primary phase of the entire agricultural link (the entire rotation system involved), both are highly competitive subsectors that annually transfer a significant amount of resources to the rest. of the economy. Their contributions come mainly from the divergences generated in the form of capital costs, taxes, and social charges. These benefits received by society are the product of the applied policies, and their analysis allows the identification of strengths and weaknesses in relation to the competitiveness of the links and of the group as a whole.
