Abstract

Despit4! constraints, agroforestry in Dominica la both desirable and needed. Education and guidance can win farmers over to the longterm benefits of sustainable agroforestry rather than the shortterm gains and potentially destructive practices of monoculture. Longterm benefits include control of 11011 erosion and protection of watershed and catchment areas, all of which are of particular iaportance in Dominica's rugged terrain.
