Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine economic effects of various weed control methods in potato
cultivation. The economic effectiveness of the five methods of weed control in potato cultivation was
conditioned by costs of weeding operations, herbicide prices, the level of yield and its value. The highest
profitability of weed management was found in the subjects 3 and 5 where mechanical treatment have been
applied since its growth. However, before the growth, subjects had been treated by the mixture of herbicides:
Command 480 EC 0.2 l/ha + Dispersive Afalon 450 SC 1.0 l/ha (subject 3.) and Stomp 400 SC 3.5 l/ha +
Dispersive Afalon 450 SC 1.0 l/ha (subject 5.).
