Abstract

A Károly Róbert Főiskolán 1994 őszén beállított nehézfémterhelési tartamkísérlet (Al, As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Pb, Zn) hetedik évében őszi árpát (Hordeum vulgare L.), tizenharmadik évében lucernát (Medicago sativa L.) termesztettünk. A talaj és a növények arzéntartalmának összefüggés-vizsgálatához mindkét kísérleti évben meghatároztuk a jelzőnövények és a talaj szántott rétegének arzéntartalmát. A talaj vizsgált nehézfémkoncentráció tartományában a talaj „oldható” (NH4-acetát + EDTA oldható), illetve „összes” (cc. HNO3 + cc. (VI. 16.) EüM rendeletben meghatározott 0,1 mg/kg-os egészségügyi határértéket. Ez alapján a javasolt talajszennyezettségi határkoncentráció 15 mg/kg helyett 6 mg/kg. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the seventh year of the long term heavy metal load (Al, As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Pb, Zn) experiments set in the autumn of 1994 at Károly Róbert College, we planted winter barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) and in the thirteenth year we planted alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.). For the correlation test of the arsenic content of the soil and the plants we determined the arsenic content of the indicator plants and plowed layer of the soil in both experimental years. In the examined range of heavy metal concentration of the soil the solute (NH4-acetate + EDTA solute) and the total (cc. HNO3 + cc. H2O2 solute) arsenic content is linear in case of the winter barley straw and the alfalfa, while there is a logarithmic relationship with the plant’s arsenic content in case of the winter barley grains. In case of both plants there was a strong relationship between the arsenic content of the soil and the plant. According to the results of the experiments the intensity of arsenic enrichment is nearly identical in case of winter barley and alfalfa. As a result of the similar intensity of arsenic accumulation, the limit for the concentration of arsenic soil contamination specified in the related regulation also gives sufficient protection in case of alfalfa. According to the correlation test the production of winter barley grains with the specified arsenic soil contamination limit is 0,32 mg/kg, which is over the 0,1 mg/kg health care limit specified in the 17/1999. (VI. 16.) regulation of the Ministry of Health. On this basis the recommended limit for the concentration of arsenic soil contamination should be 6 mg/kg instead of the present 15 mg/kg limit.
